Our Principal Partner, Chief Wole Olanipekun, CFR, SAN, delivered the Convocation Lecture and was conferred with the Degree of Doctor of Laws, LL.D. (Honoris Causa) at the 16th Founder’s Day and 13th Convocation Ceremonies of Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti (ABUAD).
In his address, titled “Nigeria — Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow: Imperative of a Sober and Definitive Recalibration”, he examined critical national issues, including the nation’s grundnorm, the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended), the remodelling of political parties into truly people-centred institutions, the necessity of a national referendum, and the imperative of embracing Nigeria’s diversity as a source of strength and unity.
The University honoured him with the Degree of Doctor of Laws, LL.D. (Honoris Causa) in recognition of his outstanding legal excellence, unwavering contributions to national development, and exemplary leadership. The honour stands as a landmark achievement and a timeless inspiration for younger generations.
