About the lawyer

Akintola parades a wide range of experience cutting across all spectra of dispute resolution in diverse sectors of the Nigerian economy. He has been integral in sensitive and landmark constitutional matters, including as a core member of the President’s defence team following the 2019 and 2023 Nigeria presidential elections.

He offers deep experience in representing and managing the litigation portfolio of various Oil & Gas majors, multinationals, Federal Government ministries, agencies and parastatals, blue-chip corporate entities and high net worth individuals.

Akintola has conducted proceedings across all the hierarchy of conventional courts within Nigeria and at the international plane, he has appeared before the Community Court of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS Community Court), where he acted for the Federal Republic of Nigeria. In expression of his deep inclination towards legal research and development of the law, he is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Private and Property Law of the University of Lagos.

With an avid interest in advancement of the law, good governance and social stability, he writes articles and makes media interventions and contributions on topical issues of legal, political and social-economic concern. He also speaks at notable conferences, trainings, and seminars.
